Decision Support Tools

ARS has extensive experience helping agencies use criminal justice data to create empirically-based decision making tools such as risk assessment and simulation models. These tools help decision makers make better decision, faster.

Mental Health

ARS has a special focus on mental health issues in the criminal justice system to inform placement, treatment capacity, program effectiveness, and the financial impact on local, county, and state agencies. Specific projects include specialized mental health and veterans courts, jail and prison populations, and Medicaid/Social Security benefits. Staff includes a forensic psychologist with over 25 years of experience providing inpatient, residential, and outpatient assessment and treatment.
